A Special Memory.
A lot of what I've been doing with this business is following that inner voice inside, my intution. Be it by giving a complimentary reading for someone in desperate need of hope, or checking in on a stranger because I felt God was telling me they needed me...I follow my heart & His guidance. It hasn't yet led me wrong since I've begun to trust that voice.
Tonight, as late as it is, this voice asks me to share this story with you all. A valuable lesson I learned a few years back.
At times you'll be called to 'give'/gift to others, strangers, maybe some one you don't know that well. This may happen at work, church, with your family or just walking down the street. Sure, it's easy to give the usual flowers, gift cards or chocolates. Beyond their use tho, they're not quite memorable. Take that opportunity to make the gesture special in some way. Create a memory they won't easily forget. It just takes a bit of time to get to know someone, to listen to their story.
I was asked to provide compensation at work to a client I knew nothing about. Fortunately he was chatty during the few weeks I handled his case. It's surprising how much someone shares when they are going through rough times, or needing an ear. You just need to listen. Sadly his father was terminally ill and in & out of the hospital. He was distraught, of course. After much thought, even then I followed my gut- I sent the gentlemen on a once-in-a-lifetime special driving event with an extra ticket for his father. I didn't know it at the time but they actually got the chance to go to it & had the time of their lives. Later the son thanked me for a happy memory he could replace all the sad hospital memories. It was life changing to their family... It wasn't even a grand gesture but something so small made the difference.
In 2018 I hope you can take the time to get to know someone in order to gift them a special memory. At the the end of the day- they are the only ones that count.
La Jibarita firmly believes that tarot can help under a lot of circumstances, but tarot is not a “band-aid”. Therefore, please keep in mind that tarot is for entertainment purposes only, and should you need medical, legal, or emotional assistance, please do consult a trusted doctor, lawyer, or licensed therapist. God bless.
